Basketball Recap: Cedarcrest Red Wolves vs. Meadowdale Mavericks
The Cedarcrest Red Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by Meadowdale 88-44. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cedarcrest in their matchups with the Mavericks: they've now lost five in a row.
Laine Mckenzie and Avery Dice certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Mckenzie almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds, while Dice scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Cedarcrest has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Meadowdale, they pushed their record up to 18-3 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Cedarcrest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Meadowdale also has no future games currently scheduled.
