Spearville had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Elkhart Wildcats 65-45 on Tuesday. The Lancers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 20 points or more this season.

Ian Melendez was his usual excellent self, going 8-for-16 on his way to 21 points along with five boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Layson Wheaton, who posted eight points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

Spearville is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34.3 points. Elkhart's loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-14.

Coming up, Spearville will venture away from home to face off against Norwich at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Elkhart does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
