Softball Recap: Sullivan Redskins vs. Robinson Maroons
Sullivan let Robinson stack five runs on them in the third inning on Tuesday but luckily Sullivan prevailed anyway. The Redskins came out on top in a nail-biter against the Maroons, sneaking past 10-9. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Redskins.
The team relied heavily on Taylar Mercer, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Kylee Freese was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Sullivan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matches.
