Everything went their way against the Northside Christian Mustangs on Wednesday as they made off with a 20-8 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Packers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Paige Sofge made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off 11 hits. Sofge was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, Largo let Miranda Rollins and Mia Kabakov run wild. Rollins got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI, while Kabakov got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave Kabakov a new career-high. Elle Fleck was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
