Houston Academy is a perfect 3-0 against Ariton since March of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Raiders will head out to challenge the Purple Cats at 7:00 p.m. Houston Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.9 goals per game this season.

Houston Academy had been on an eight-game streak of scoring at least four goals, but Providence Christian put an end to it back in March. The Raiders fell 3-1 to the Eagles. That makes it the first time this season Houston Academy have let down their home crowd.

Their goal came courtesy of Nate Selig, who's now up to 44 this season.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Ariton's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northside Methodist Academy on Tuesday. Ariton haven't had much luck with Northside Methodist Academy recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Ariton's loss dropped their record down to 4-9-1. As for Houston Academy, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 13-4.

Houston Academy took their victory against Ariton when the teams last played back in February by a conclusive 11-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
