Basketball Recap: Freer Piles Up the Points Against IDEA Weslaco Pike

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Freer). They claimed a resounding 65-16 victory over the IDEA Weslaco Pike Mavericks. Winning may never get old, but the Buckaroos sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Freer's win on Saturday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ayden Ramirez, who posted seven points, to go along with six rebounds and five assists. That's the most assists Ramirez has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Noah Flores, who went 6 of 7 en route to 12 points.

Freer's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for IDEA Weslaco Pike, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Freer wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 66-58 victory against Raymondville on the 7th. As for IDEA Weslaco Pike, they will head out to square off against IDEA Sports Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
