Softball Recap: River Valley Comes Up Short

River Valley had lost 11 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 3-15 to make it 12. They came up short against the Adena Warriors, falling 11-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-1 back in April.

As for Adena, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. Considering they have won 12 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Adena's part, Marly Halcomb was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Lexi Pettit, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

As of now, neither River Valley nor Adena have any future games scheduled.
