Football Game Preview: High Point Wildcats vs. Whippany Park Wildcats + How To Watch

High Point will venture away from home to take on Whippany Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

High Point is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Sussex County Tech 63-26 on Friday. The Wildcats pushed the score to 63-20 by the end of the third, a deficit Sussex County Tech cut but never quite recovered from.

Jerron Martress had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 183 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.0 yards per carry. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last four times he's played. Tyler Brarman also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for High Point, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Brarman, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Whippany Park, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They took down Hopatcong 29-14 on Friday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Chiefs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

High Point's record now sits at 7-1. As for Whippany Park, their record is now 3-5.

Everything came up roses for High Point against Whippany Park when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 49-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for High Point since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
