Football Recap: Orange Cove Comes Up Short

Orange Cove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Riverdale Cowboys, falling 28-6. Having soared to a lofty 40 points in the game before, the Titans couldn't push the score so high this time.

Orange Cove's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Riverdale, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Orange Cove will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mendota at 7:15 p.m. on September 12. As for Riverdale, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Avenal at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
