Baseball Game Preview: Prescott Badgers vs. Greenway Demons

The Prescott Badgers will venture away from home to challenge the Greenway Demons at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Prescott comes in on three and Greenway on six.

On Friday, Prescott earned a 4-1 win over Lee Williams.

William Horn looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Prescott's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Tobin, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Greenway posted their closest win since April 2, 2024 on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Moon Valley 9-8.

The team relied heavily on Dylan Archuleta, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Tyler McNally also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Greenway's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Prescott, their record is now 10-4.

Monday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Prescott has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .505.
