Basketball Recap: Davis Sr. Comes Up Short

Davis Sr. lost against Rocklin back in February of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Davis Sr. Blue Devils took a blow against the Rocklin Thunder, falling 75-42. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 561st, while the Thunder are ranked 83rd).

Davis Sr.'s loss came despite strong showings from Rhys Crawford and Ahmere Bradley. Crawford posted eight points and seven rebounds, while Bradley put up seven points and seven boards.

Rocklin can attribute much of their success to Connor Bow, who scored 12 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Josiah Andrews, who had nine points.

Davis Sr. has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Rocklin, their victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-8.

Davis Sr. wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-40 loss against Jesuit on the 24th. As for Rocklin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 77-64 win against Whitney on the 24th.
