Recap: Chestertown Christian Academy Patriots vs. Concord Christian Academy Minutemen
The Chestertown Christian Academy Patriots lost against the Concord Christian Academy Minutemen back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Chestertown Christian Academy fell to Concord Christian Academy 38-34. Chestertown Christian Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Chestertown Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: John Stoltzfus dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nathan Frain, who scored seven points.
Concord Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Carlin Hollis - Homeschool out in front who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Hollis - Homeschool is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Gabriel Franco was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Chestertown Christian Academy's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-2. As for Concord Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chestertown Christian Academy will take on Calvary Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Concord Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Greenwood Mennonite at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Greenwood Mennonite focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Saturday.
