Volleyball Recap: Pewaukee Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Waukesha West

Pewaukee faced Waukesha West in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Pirates fell 3-1 to the Wolverines. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in August.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-15, 12-25, 25-14.

Kennedy Tisdale paced Pewaukee's offense, picking up 14 kills. Tisdale got some help from Hannah Padilla and her 22 assists. Padilla was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Pewaukee has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-11 record this season. As for Waukesha West, they pushed their record up to 21-8 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Pewaukee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Waukesha West, they will challenge Catholic Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
