Softball Recap: Everett Takes a Loss

Everett fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Lake Stevens on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 5-4.

Everett's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Lake Stevens, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Everett will square off against Snohomish at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Seagulls' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Lake Stevens, they will face off against Kamiak at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight.
