Basketball Recap: Crosby Falls Short of A&M Consolidated in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Crosby can now relate to. They took a 49-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the A&M Consolidated Tigers on Tuesday. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the loss, Crosby still got an impressive performance from Lamaya Clark, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Clark has been hot recently, having posted ten or more boards the last three times she's played.

Even though they lost, Crosby smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 16 consecutive matches.

Crosby's loss dropped their record down to 18-16. As for A&M Consolidated, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 20-11.

Crosby does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for A&M Consolidated, they have already played their next game, a 45-40 win against Friendswood on the 14th.
