Basketball Recap: New Trier Comes Up Short

New Trier and Glenbrook South squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but New Trier had to settle for second. They took a 56-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Glenbrook South Titans. While losing is never fun, the Trevians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Titans are ranked 28th).

New Trier's loss dropped their record down to 16-15. As for Glenbrook South, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 24-9.

As of now, neither New Trier nor Glenbrook South have any future games scheduled.
