Softball Recap: Jackson Timberwolves vs. Glacier Peak Grizzlies

Jackson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Glacier Peak Grizzlies. The Timberwolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Grizzlies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Jackson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kiana Holden (2025), who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Claire Kessinger (2027) also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Jackson now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Glacier Peak, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Jackson is set to face off against their familiar foe Mariner at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Glacier Peak will challenge rival Arlington at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in the Grizzlies' favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while the Eagles have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
