Recap: Wayne Blue Devils vs. Wahoo Warriors
After flying high against the Wakefield Trojans on Tuesday, the Wayne Blue Devils came back down to earth. Wayne took a hard 75-60 fall against Wahoo on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, Wayne still got an impressive performance from Gavin Redden, who scored 14 points. Redden continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Anderson, who scored 10 points along with 6 assists.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wahoo to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marcus Glock, who shot 4-for-8 from long range and dropped a double-double on 25 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Glock has scored at least 25% of Wahoo's points. Dylan Simons was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals.
Wayne's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Wahoo, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Wayne won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Lakeview. As for Wahoo, they will head out on the road to face off against Nebraska City on December 16th.
