Preston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pocatello Thunder. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Indians have suffered since April 19, 2024.

Janson Hollingsworth was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Preston is 4-2 when Hollingsworth posts two or more runs, but 0-4 otherwise. Conner Thomson was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple and one run.
