Meanwhile, Sun Valley fell victim to Marvin Ridge and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 7-0 to the Mavericks. Sun Valley haven't had much luck with Marvin Ridge recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Porter Ridge's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 8-6-4. As for Sun Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5-2.

Porter Ridge couldn't quite get it done against Sun Valley in their previous matchup two weeks ago as they fell 3-1. Can the Pirates avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
