Basketball Recap: Laporte Takes a Loss

Laporte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 81-41 loss at the hands of the Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 386th, while the Wolves are ranked 177th).

Laporte's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Walker-Hackensack-Akeley, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Laporte is taking a road trip to challenge Bertha-Hewitt at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Walker-Hackensack-Akeley, they will welcome Littlefork-Big Falls at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Littlefork-Big Falls knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 18 matchups -- so hopefully Walker-Hackensack-Akeley likes a good challenge.
