Football Recap: Hillcrest Christian Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Gabe Catalano and Dylan Stueber

After flying high against New Designs University Park last Friday, Hillcrest Christian came back down to earth. The Saints received a blow on Friday as they fell 36-22 to the Thacher Toads. If the Saints were looking for revenge after losing 36-18 to the Toads when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Dylan Stueber and Gabe Catalano certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Stueber threw for 176 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Catalano picked up 101 receiving yards and one TD.

Having lost for the first time this season, Hillcrest Christian fell to 2-1. As for Thacher, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Hillcrest Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-22 victory against Laguna Blanca on the 26th. As for Thacher, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 44-24 win against Animo Robinson on the 27th.
