Volleyball Recap: Rocky River Takes a Loss

Rocky River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the East Mecklenburg Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 4th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-12, 25-7.

Riley Ketterhagen was nothing short of spectacular for East Mecklenburg: she had eight aces and five digs. That's the most aces Ketterhagen has posted since back in August. Janiah Conyers also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Rocky River's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for East Mecklenburg, they pushed their record up to 17-7 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Rocky River and Palisades will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Mecklenburg, they will host Ardrey Kell at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
