It was a good run, but Oceanside Collegiate Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 54-44 to the Nitro Wildcats.

Natalie Smith continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Nitro, going 8 for 13 on her way to 24 points and seven rebounds. Smith's evening made it eight games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaycee Sigmon, who posted eight points and five rebounds.

Oceanside Collegiate Academy's loss dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Nitro, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Oceanside Collegiate Academy and Mars will face off at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Mars will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Oceanside Collegiate Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Nitro, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Nitro Wildcats challenge the St. Agnes Academy Tigers at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Nitro is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.8 points per game this season.
