Basketball Recap: Saint Thomas More Academy Takes a Loss

The Saint Thomas More Academy Griffins took a blow against the Mishawaka Cavemen on Tuesday, falling 62-31. The Griffins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mishawaka found their leader in sophomore Ednyia Johnson, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season. Grace Matherly was another key player, shooting 43% from the field to rack up 12 points and seven rebounds.

Saint Thomas More Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Mishawaka, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Saint Thomas More Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Trinity Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 16th. As for Mishawaka, they will square off against Argos at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
