Baseball Recap: The Heights' Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bishop O'Connell, The Heights was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Field Falcons by a score of 4-1. The victory was some much needed relief for The Heights as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

The Heights' win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Sam Reed, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Those two runs gave Reed a new career-high.

The Heights' victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Field, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. The Heights will venture away from home to face off against DeMatha at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Field, they will head out to take on Smith Jewish Day School at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
