Soccer Recap: Mercer Island Comes Up Short

Mercer Island entered their contest against Issaquah on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Islanders fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. Mercer Island were not able to make up for their loss to Issaquah from their previous meeting back in April of 2016.

This is the second loss in a row for Mercer Island and nudges their season record down to 5-2-2. As for Issaquah, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6-1.

Coming up, Mercer Island will square off against Woodinville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Issaquah, they will welcome Lake Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
