Basketball Game Preview: White Station Spartans vs. Bartlett Panthers

The White Station Spartans will square off against the Bartlett Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when White Station and Whitehaven meet (two straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. White Station was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 34-33 to Whitehaven. The game marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bartlett had no problem doing just that on Monday. They slipped by the Dragons 49-48. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since January 14th.

Bartlett is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points over those games. White Station's loss dropped their record down to 13-7.

White Station was dealt a bruising 75-20 defeat at the hands of Bartlett when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can White Station avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
