Bassett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the La Puente Warriors, falling 17-7. On the bright side, the seven- run performance marked the Olympians' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Bassett's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for La Puente, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Bassett and La Puente will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Olympians see the field they'll take on Workman at 3:30 p.m. on the 15th. As for La Puente, their break will end when they face Edgewood at 3:30 p.m. on the 14th.
