Basketball Recap: West Geauga Comes Up Short

West Geauga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 64-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mayfield Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolverines of the 74-49 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

West Geauga's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Mayfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8.

West Geauga will be playing at home against Hawken at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mayfield has already played their next matchup (against South), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
