Football Recap: Conway Comes Up Short

Conway lost against Myrtle Beach back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers were dealt a 56-19 loss at the hands of the Seahawks. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-6.

When it comes to explaining why Conway lost, don't look at Noah Legg. Despite the final result, he threw for 245 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 31 yards. 86 of Legg's passing yards were hauled in by Javon Smalls, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Conway's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Myrtle Beach, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

The future could be bright for both Conway and Myrtle Beach: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Tigers will look to extend St. James' four-game losing streak when they meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Myrtle Beach will try to hand Socastee their third-straight loss when the two meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
