Baseball Recap: Venture Academy Beats Buckingham Charter for Their Fifth Straight Victory

While Venture Academy put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Buckingham Charter. The Venture Academy Mustangs put the hurt on the Buckingham Charter Knights with a sharp 12-0 win. That looming 12-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Mustangs yet this season.

Nobody will forget Xavier Perez's heroic performance anytime soon (especially Buckingham Charter's batters): he turned in a perfect game. What's more, Perez gave up only zero hits, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Carlos Duenas was a standout: he scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That stolen base was his first of the season. Roman Stewart was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Venture Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Buckingham Charter only posted an OBP of .000.
