Softball Recap: Community Beats Richland for Their Sixth Straight Win

Community waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They had just enough and edged out the Richland Raiders 4-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Vikings/Viqueens also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Community saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haylee Webb, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Community's win bumped their record up to 17-2-2. As for Richland, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Community will take on Forrest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings/Viqueens 0.9, the Rockets 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Richland, they will challenge Cornersville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
