Softball Recap: Sierra Vista Has No Trouble Against Baldwin Park

While Sierra Vista put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Baldwin Park. The Dons put the hurt on the Braves with a sharp 20-0 victory. The Dons have beaten the Braves the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Braves has come to flipping the script.

Isabella Ortega made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Kayla Iniguez was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Joey Romero was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.

Sierra Vista always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .725. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
