Basketball Recap: Stafford Falls Despite Big Games from Mikya Williams and Braylee Cleveland

On Tuesday, the Stafford Spartans came up short against the Almeta Crawford Chargers and fell 54-43. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Stafford had strong showings from Braylee Cleveland, who posted 12 points, and Mikya Williams, who had eight points and three steals. That's the most points Cleveland has posted since back in November of 2024.

Stafford's loss dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Almeta Crawford, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-14.

Stafford will take on Fort Bend Willowridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Almeta Crawford, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 66-22 victory against Harmony School of Innovation Sugar Land on the 10th.
