Soccer Recap: Watauga vs. Mount Tabor
Watauga managed to keep up with Mount Tabor until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Watauga Pioneers lost 4-1 to the Mount Tabor Spartans. The Pioneers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2021.
This is the second loss in a row for Watauga and nudges their season record down to 8-3-2. As for Mount Tabor, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Watauga will take on South Caldwell at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. South Caldwell's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
