Basketball Game Preview: Orange Lions vs. Beachwood Bison

The Orange Lions will face off against the Beachwood Bison at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Orange is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since March 1, 2024 on Saturday. They came up short against Olmsted Falls, falling 71-47. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Orange's defeat came about despite a quality game from Alex Mcculloch, who posted nine points and five steals. Another player making a difference was Ryan Doerner, who had nine points.

Meanwhile, Beachwood scored the most points they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 79-73 hit to the loss column at the hands of Garrett Morgan. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (55), the Bison still had to take the loss.

Beachwood dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points per game. As for Orange, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
