Recap: North Brunswick Scorpions vs. West Brunswick Trojans

In what's become a running theme this season, the North Brunswick Scorpions gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 68-30 victory over West Brunswick at home. The win was just what North Brunswick needed coming off of a 80-52 defeat in their prior matchup.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Brunswick to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caleb Bernard, who scored 15 points. Terry Hood was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Despite the defeat, West Brunswick had strong showings from K'Veon Griffin, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and two steals, and Tristen Roberts, who scored six points.

West Brunswick struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as North Brunswick racked up 12 assists.

North Brunswick pushed their record up to 12-3 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.3 points per game. As for West Brunswick, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Brunswick will take on Ashley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Ashley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 314th, while North Brunswick is ranked 109th). As for West Brunswick, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Brunswick at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
