Mountain Brook entered their tilt with Woodlawn on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Woodlawn Colonels with a sharp 54-29 win. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season.

Mountain Brook pushed their record up to 19-6 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points per game. As for Woodlawn, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.

Coincidentally, Mountain Brook and Woodlawn will both be playing Pell City the next time they take the court. Mountain Brook will head out to face Pell City at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Woodlawn will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
