Basketball Game Preview: Harvest Christian Academy Lions vs. Wheeling Wildcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Lions take on the Wildcats at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Harvest Christian Academy came up short against St. Francis on Thursday, falling 63-37. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 541st, while the Spartans are ranked 197th).

Meanwhile, Wheeling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 64-41 to Hersey.

Wheeling's defeat dropped their record down to 10-18. As for Harvest Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-18 record this season.

Harvest Christian Academy couldn't quite finish off Wheeling in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 and fell 64-62. Can Harvest Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
