Daniel Thomason leads Fruita Monument to victory over Northfield

Recap: Fruita Monument Wildcats vs. Northfield Nighthawks
The Fruita Monument Wildcats put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Northfield 73-59. Given Fruita Monument's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while Northfield is ranked 44th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Daniel Thomason was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Fruita Monument's points. Max Orchard was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 9 rebounds.
Fruita Monument's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Northfield, their loss dropped their record down to 4-1.
Fruita Monument's road trip will continue as they head out to face Delta at 4:30 p.m. on December 14th. As for Northfield, they will take on Standley Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Standley Lake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Saturday.
