Recap: Gibson Southern Titans vs. Vincennes Lincoln Alices
With a playoff game on the line, the Gibson Southern Titans rose to the challenge on Friday. They strolled past Vincennes Lincoln with points to spare, taking the game 27-13. The win was nothing new for Gibson Southern as they're now sitting on eight straight.
It was another big night for Tanner Boyd, who rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 187 yards and a touchdown while completing 82.8% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Sean DeLong, who gained 135 total yards and a touchdown.
Gibson Southern has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 10-2 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.8 points per game. As for Vincennes Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.
Gibson Southern will head out on the road to face off against Tri-West Hendricks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tri-West Hendricks is coming into the contest hot, having won their last ten games. Vincennes Lincoln does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
