Recap: Victory Christian Academy Lions vs. Wheeler Bearcats
The Victory Christian Academy Lions lost against the Wheeler Bearcats back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Victory Christian Academy suffered a rough 34-11 loss at the hands of Wheeler. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Victory Christian Academy has scored all season.
Amariah Jankowski was Victory Christian Academy's leading scorer, having posted six points.
Wheeler's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Izabela Schumacher, who scored seven points along with 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ava Lukawski, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds.
Victory Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Wheeler, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-7.
Victory Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Calumet Christian at 5:30 p.m. on December 8th. Hopefully Calumet Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Thursday. As for Wheeler, they will head out on the road to face off against Lake Station Edison at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lake Station Edison presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Wheeler in Indiana (Lake Station Edison is ranked 104th, while Wheeler is ranked 297th).
