Basketball Game Preview: Coahoma Bulldogs vs. Lamesa Tornadoes

The Coahoma Bulldogs will challenge the Lamesa Tornadoes at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Both are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Lamesa is hoping to do what Compass Academy couldn't on Tuesday: put an end to Coahoma's winning streak, which now stands at five games. Coahoma claimed a resounding 54-18 win over Compass Academy. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Lamesa came into Friday's contest having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They really took it to Compass Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 57-26 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Tornadoes have posted since December 6, 2024.

Coahoma pushed their record up to 19-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Lamesa, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 8-17.
