Football Recap: Washington County Comes Up Short

If Washington County was feeling good fresh off their 49-6 takedown of Western Hills last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Commanders lost to the Danville Admirals on the road by a 21-6 margin on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Commanders in their meetings with the Admirals: they've now lost four in a row.

Washington County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Danville, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Washington County will take on rival W.E.B. DuBois Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Danville is set to square off against their familiar foe Shawnee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
