Southwest had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their defense stepped up to hand the Jefferson Mustangs a 7-0 shutout on Thursday. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matches by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Jefferson from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Cesar Angel led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

The victory made it two in a row for Southwest and bumps their season record up to 21-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two games. As for Jefferson, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10-4.

As of now, neither Southwest nor Jefferson have any future games scheduled.
