It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Crescent Valley can now relate to. They lost 61-39 to the Canby Cougars on Thursday. The Raiders' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

It was another big night for Jaxon Lawson, who went 6-for-13 on his way to 18 points along with seven boards and four steals for Canby. Lawson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Cohen Vandecoevering, who posted 13 points.

Crescent Valley's loss dropped their record down to 20-7. As for Canby, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-9.

Crescent Valley has already played their next match, a 50-49 defeat against Thurston on the 14th. As for Canby, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 47-45 loss against Summit on the 14th.
