Softball Game Preview: Wilton Warriors vs. New Canaan Rams

The Wilton Warriors will head out to face off against the New Canaan Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Wilton has given up an average of 7.9 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wilton came up short against Danbury on Monday, falling 11-3. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for New Canaan's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brookfield on Tuesday. The loss was the Rams' first of the season.

Wilton's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for New Canaan, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Wilton couldn't quite finish off New Canaan in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 and fell 6-4. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
