Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends Ripon Christian's Winning Streak

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ripon Christian can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Branham Bruins on Tuesday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Knights haven't been shut out since back in March.

While Ripon Christian had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-22, 25-19.

Mason Tameling paced Ripon Christian's offense, picking up ten kills. Tameling got some help from Daniel Lambdin and his 23 assists. Tameling was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Ripon Christian moved to 27-10 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak. As for Branham, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-10 record this season.

Ripon Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Branham, they will challenge Leigh at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Longhorns will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Bruins surely won't give up without a fight.
