Baseball Recap: Williston-Elko Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Williston-Elko's offense. They came up short against the Barnwell Warhorses on Thursday, falling 10-0. That's two games in a row now that the Blue Devils have lost by exactly ten runs.

Williston-Elko's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Barnwell, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Williston-Elko will face off against Calhoun County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Barnwell, they will square off against Hampton County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Barnwell's pitchers better be ready for this one: Hampton County has averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season.
